I created this retreat because I’ve been there.
There was a time when I was constantly overwhelmed and quick to rage with my kids. I thought something was wrong with me. What I eventually learned,through my own matrescence journey, my background in psychology and yoga therapy, and deep nervous system work, is that my reactions weren’t a personal failure. They were a nervous system doing its best under too much pressure.
When I learned how motherhood changes us at an identity and physiological level,and when I began using mind–body tools to actually support my nervous system, everything shifted. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But slowly, I found more space. More patience. More balance. More joy. More moments of genuine presence with my kids.
This retreat is an extension of that work.
It’s an invitation to step out of survival mode and into a space where your body can soften, your nervous system can settle, and you can remember who you are underneath the mental load, the caretaking, and the constant doing.

What This Retreat Offers
Over five nourishing days in the mountains of Andalucía, we are going to slow things down.
This is not about fixing yourself or becoming a “better” mom.
It’s about being supported long enough for your system to reset, so presence and joy become more accessible again.
Together, we’ll move, breathe, rest, reflect, and spend time in both connection and quiet. Everything is optional. Nothing is rushed.

What’s Included
Twice-daily yoga therapy sessions (gentle movement, breathwork, deep rest)
Morning meditation and evening Yoga Nidra
5 Days/ 4 nights
Two nourishing meals per day (brunch and dinner, Mediterranean-inspired with dietary accommodations)
Daily free time and access to five pools on the property
Optional add-ons such as massage and journaling guidance
This is a retreat in the truest sense of the word: spacious, supportive, and designed to restore your energy, clarity, and nervous system balance.

This is a general rhythm; timings may shift to best support the group.
8:15–8:30 — Silent Morning Meditation
8:30–10:00 — Grounding Yoga Therapy Practice
10:00–11:00 — Brunch
11:00–14:00 — Free Time / Massage / Journaling
Afternoon — Siesta, swimming, rest
Late Afternoon — Restorative Yoga
Evening — Dinner
Night — Yoga Nidra or Gentle Evening Practice
There is plenty of unscheduled time. Rest is not something you have to earn here.
Getting There
The nearest airport is Malaga (AGP). A group shuttle will be arranged to leave in the early afternoon on 24 May and return on 28 May after breakfast. Flights must align with group shuttle times.

You’re expecting someone else to “fix” you rather than support your own process
You’re not in a season where you can prioritize rest, presence, and nervous system care
This is not a bootcamp. It’s not a reset-your-life-in-five-days experience. It’s slower, deeper, and more subtle,and that’s exactly the point.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need yoga experience to attend?
Not at all. All practices are accessible, gentle, and guided with care. This retreat is about nervous system support and embodiment,not flexibility or performance.
I’m exhausted and overwhelmed. Will this be too much for me?
This retreat was created for that place. Everything is optional, and rest is prioritized. You’re always invited to do less, not more.
Is this therapy or group processing?
No. While my background includes psychology and yoga therapy, this is not therapy and there is no pressure to share personal stories. Education and reflection are woven in gently, with clear boundaries and choice.
I feel nervous about leaving my kids. Is that normal?
Completely. Many moms feel this way. This retreat isn’t about escaping your life,it’s about being supported so you can return more resourced, regulated, and present. There will be plenty of other moms to talk about it (and who will totally get it) and you can check in with your family whenever you like!
What ages of moms is this for?
There’s no specific age range. Moms of babies, teens, adults and everything in between are welcome. Matrescence doesn’t end in the early years,it continues to evolve.
Will there be free time?
Yes,lots of it. Long stretches are intentionally left unscheduled for rest, swimming, naps, journaling, or doing absolutely nothing.
What’s the group size?
The group is intentionally small to create a sense of safety, connection, and spaciousness.
Can I come alone?
Yes,and many participants do. You’ll be warmly welcomed, and there’s no pressure to be social beyond what feels right for you.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. If cost is a consideration, reach out and we’ll find a way to make it more accessible.

You can cancel before 24 March 2026 for a refund minus the €250 deposit. After that date, payments are non-refundable unless your spot is filled.

When booking for Yoga Retreats with Emily Gold Yoga please note that we can only provide a full refund for cancellations made more than 60 days before the start date(less a 20% +BTW admin fee). For any other cancellations there will be no refunds or transfers unless your place can be filled from a waiting list in which case we will refund the fee (less a 20% +BTW admin fee). If the retreat is cancelled you will be offered either a cash refund or the option of being transferred into an alternative event. Participants are required to purchase and show proof of travel insurance before attending all retreats.
